Traveling with no Masks...

Onboard when Captain announced no masks required!

Hooray, Hooray followed by a long applause and shouts of Joy!!!! This is what we heard from fellow passengers when the captain of our recent Southwest flight on layover from Houston to Ft. Lauderdale announced over the PA system the breaking news that Southwest airlines like other airlines was now making masking optional onboard their aircraft due to the recent ruling from a Federal Judge blocking the CDC's mask mandate.   

Immediately, my wife and I along with 80% of the flight crew and passengers tore our masks off and enjoyed breathing freely while giving fellow passengers high fives. After two long years it was an incredible feeling to fly unencumbered without a mask and make personal connections again with fellow travelers just by trading smiles and expressions.   It was also amazing to see some of the emotional reactions of the flight crew who have had to wear masks and strictly enforce this policy on others for two years.
